We all know the story of David and Goliath. There was a giant who was harassing the children in the village. One day a 17-year-old shepherd boy came to visit his brothers and asked, “Why don’t you stand up and fight the giant?” The brothers were terrified and they replied, “No, he is not too big to hit, he is too big to miss.” The rest is history. David killed the giant. It was the same giant, different perception.

Our attitude determines how we look at our setbacks, our failures. A positive thinker sees a failure or setback as a stepping stone to success. A negative thinker sees a failure or setback as a block.

Now let’s discuss the Factors that determine our Attitude

When Employees of a great organization say, “I can’t do it,” There are two meanings. First, They don’t know how to do it. Second, They don’t want to do it.

Environment includes your Home, School, Work, Social and Cultural Background, Religious Background, etc.

All of these Environments create a culture. Every place has a culture. In countries where the Government is honest and Truthful, You will find that the people are honest and truthful. And Vice Versa. We have to look at Environment in which we are brought up. It is difficult to maintain a positive behavior in a negative environment. Create a positive environment. Look for the people who value you the most, who bring a positive attitude in you, who have a positive futuristic vision. Be with this kind of people. Don’t be with negative, pessimistic type of people. They will only find faults in every situation. They blame the situation or the problem.

2. Experience

Our Attitude and behavior changes according to our experiences. If we have a positive experience with a person or with something, our behavior, and attitude changes towards him. It becomes positive. Same is the reverse If we have a negative experience with a person or with something, our behavior, and attitude changes towards him. It becomes negative.

3. Education

This includes both Formal and Informal Education. Education doesn’t necessarily mean Academic Education. This Education means all the knowledge that you have regarding a topic or about a field. Education not only teaches us how to make a living but also how to live.

Just like Absence of Failures doesn’t mean success, an absence of negativity doesn’t make a person positive. There are a lot of traits of a positive thinker that are very easy to recognize. People with a positive attitude are caring, humble, patient, respectful, and confident. They encourage positive outcomes. They are welcomed by people.

A Positive Attitude:

  1. Increases Profits.
  2. Increases Productivity.
  3. Increases Your Respect.
  4. Solves Problem.
  5. Builds better and great relationships with employees and customers.
  6. Reduces Stress and Depression.
  7. Breeds Loyalty.
  8. Strengthen Teamwork.

Having a positive attitude is an asset. It yields high returns.

People with a negative Attitude have a hard time building great relationships, belief, and jobs. A negative Attitude leads to:

  1. Bitterness.
  2. ill health.
  3. High-Stress level.
  4. A meaningless and a purposeless life.

Having a negative attitude is a liability. It only brings negativity.

The difference between Successful people and the unsuccessful people is that the Successful people are always optimistic about the future. They think that their Idea, Service or Product can be big in the future. If you want to be successful you have to have a positive attitude.

Human Nature normally resists change. Change is something that takes time and is uncomfortable. Change can be stressful. It changes the way how you do things. Sometimes we become so comfortable with our negativity that we refuse to change for the good. We find pleasure doing negatives things.
